# Registration and Login

### Registration

New users can register using an email or mobile number or they can authenticate using Google or Facebook.

Three easy steps to register on Edredo are as follows:

* Click on the Join Now button
* Enter your ID and  create a password&#x20;
* Punch in the OTP from your mail and you're ready to explore the latest and innovative techniques of learning with Edredo.

### Login

# Onboarding

Learn more about how to get yourself onboard to the platform with our streamlined process.

After registration, the user is asked for a little more information to customize their experience with the platform. Once the user completes onboarding, the platform is ready.

The user can choose their objective as “**Learning**” or “**Teaching**” depending on which platform will be customized for them.

# Password Recovery

Don't stress in case you've missed the password. Our robust backend will help you recover your credentials within few clicks.

Users can use email or mobile numbers to recover their passwords. Users need to enter their email or phone numbers where they will receive OTP to recover their passwords.


# Account Settings

Take full advantage of the Account Settings feature on Edredo.com to manage your profile details, customize email notifications, change your password, and maintain the security of your account.

* Accessing Account Settings: Click on your user profile icon in the top right corner and select "Account Settings" from the drop-down menu to manage your profile and preferences.
* Updating Profile Information: Edit your personal details, such as name, email address, and profile picture, within Account Settings. Make changes in the relevant fields and save to update your profile.
* Managing Email Notifications: Customize your email notification preferences in the "Notifications" tab of Account Settings. Enable or disable specific notification types based on your preferences to receive important updates.
* Changing Password: Navigate to the "Security" tab in Account Settings to change your account password. Enter your current password, then set a new password that meets Edredo.com's security requirements. Save the changes.
* Logging Out: Ensure account security by logging out of your Edredo.com account. Click on your user profile icon, then select "Logout" from the drop-down menu. Remember to log out when using shared or public computers.


# Dashboard

# Create a Post

In Order to share information or engage with the community on Edredo.com, navigate to the relevant section or community where you want to create a post.

Clicking on "Create Post": Look for the prominent "Create Post" button on the page and click on it to start the post creation process.

Click on the "Ask a Question" button to start creating your question. Provide a clear and concise title that summarizes your question, and then elaborate on the details in the question description field.

Click on the "Post Example" on the page where you want to create your post example. This could be a subject-specific community, a discussion board, or a designated area for sharing examples.

After filling in the resource details, click the "Upload" button to upload the resource to Edredo.com. Once uploaded, the resource will be available.


# Create poll

Creating polls on Edredo.com provides an interactive and engaging way to involve the community and gather diverse perspectives.

Access the relevant section or community and click on "Create Poll" to initiate the process. Design your poll by providing a clear title, a specific question, and multiple answer options. Preview and edit the poll before publishing it to ensure accuracy. Monitor and analyze the responses to gain valuable insights from the community.


# Profile Building

Building a comprehensive and appealing profile on Edredo.com helps you showcase your interests, expertise, and engagement within the community.

Click on your user profile icon in the top right corner of the screen, then select "Profile Settings" or "Edit Profile" from the drop-down menu. This will take you to the profile customization page.


# Interactive videos

Interactive videos are videos that support user interaction. The user can click on the ongoing video for an action to occur.

**Creating an interactive video**

All the Edredo members can add interactive videos. Interactive videos can be either limited to a classroom (private) or it can be visible to all the Edredo members (public).&#x20;

The user can add interactive video in **3 easy steps**

* In the first step, the user can either upload a video from the system or can paste the video source link to embed a video.

* In the next step, the user can add different types of interactions to the video. These interactions include Images, Questions in the form of True/False, Fill in the blanks, MCQ, and many more.

* In the last step, the user can add a summary and feedback for the user’s interactions.

# Edredo Organizations

Organizations are an integral part of Edredo and this guide will help you understand how to take the best out of it.

Users can create an organization and add their classrooms inside it. Thus, all the classrooms will belong to that organization and so will the classroom members.

**Let’s take a simple example to understand the organization.⬇️**

Suppose there is a School (A). A school has many classes (1st to 12th). So school (A) will be an organization that will have different classrooms under it.&#x20;

As there are class teachers in the classes, there are *<mark style="color:blue;">**Classroom admins to the classrooms**</mark>*<mark style="color:blue;">**.**</mark>&#x20;

As there are students in every class, there are *<mark style="color:blue;">**members in every classroom**</mark>*<mark style="color:blue;">**.**</mark>

# Creating an Organization

Creating an Organization is a pretty simple process and can be accomplished in just a matter of clicks.

Any user can create an organization in Edredo. For creating an organization, users can navigate to the homepage and click on the “**+**” icon in the “Organizations” block. If the user is already part of any organization, those organizations will be listed in the same block.

After clicking on the Add organization “**+**” button, the user needs to fill in some basic details of the organization like *Organization name*, *website*, *location* etc. and it's done.

# Adding Classrooms in Organization

Adding Classrooms in Organization can be done in a jiffy with Edredo. This is a step-by-step guide to help you understand how it works.

Once the organization is created, the admin has to add his classrooms in it. For this, there are 2 options:

* **Add new classroom** - If the admin does not have already created a classroom then he can choose this option and create a classroom under his organization from here.

* **Add existing classroom** - There is a possibility that the organization admin is already having an Edredo classroom. So he can simply choose this option and add his existing classroom to his organization

# Organization member management

Organizing and regulating the members in an organization is a significant part of running an organization. You can assign roles and manage the members accordingly.

The organization admin can manage members of the organization from the manage members page. All the classrooms and their members come under the organization members.

### Roles&#x20;

* **Super Admin**: Super Admin is the creator of the organization and has all the permissions.
* **Admin**: Admin has all the permissions like adding/removing classrooms in the organization, role management, and classroom member management. Admin cannot update the role of super admin.
* **Moderator**: A moderator can add/remove classrooms and can manage only the classrooms he is the admin of.&#x20;
* **Member**: A member cannot do any member or classroom management operations. He just has read permissions in the organization.

# Creating a Classroom

Here is a detailed guide on how to create a classroom on Edredo and get the best use of it.

Any Edredo user can create his/her own classroom and start sharing the knowledge with the Edredo community. Any user who signs up as a teacher will get an option to create a classroom during onboarding.

# Classroom visibility

To protect the privacy of the classroom, You can control the visibility of the classroom they way they want to. Here is a detailed explanation of the available options.

The user can make the classroom publicly available or can make it private so that it can only be visible to the intended audience.

### Here are the visibility options available

* **Public**

You can make the classroom visible to all of the Edredo community members and they can discover your classroom in the [**Explore Classrooms**](https://www.edredo.com/classrooms) section but won't be able to join you until you allow them.

* **Private**

If you choose private visibility, The classroom will not be discoverable in the Explore Classrooms tab and members can only discover the classroom with a private link shared by the administrator.


# Classroom Joining Method

There are multiple options curated for the convenience of the classroom creator so they can customize the classroom as per their very requirements.

Edredo provides 4 joining methods for the users to join the classroom. Following are the joining methods -

* **Secret Code**: Admin is required to share a secret code with their audience in Edredo to authorize them as your classroom member.

* **Membership Request**: Anyone willing to join the classroom will first have to make a request to the admin. Admin can choose to approve or disapprove the request.

* **Open Access**: Anyone within the Edredo community can view, join and interact. They will have access to courses within your classroom.

* **Payment subscription**: Admin can set a joining amount in INR or USD. Anyone willing to join this classroom would need to pay the amount. Once payment is done, the user joins the classroom automatically.


# Classroom Member Management

Similar to managing a physical classroom, We understand the importance of management in Edredo classrooms. Here is a detailed guide on how you can choose from a range of options provided to you.

Classroom administrators can navigate to the classroom members list from the “Members” option on the classroom page.

Under the **Teams** tab, Admin can create different teams consisting of classroom members. Admin can define a team structure(Number of members in each team) and create teams by adding classroom members in that.

Under the **Teams** tab, Admin can create different teams consisting of classroom members. Admin can define a team structure(Number of members in each team) and create teams by adding classroom members in that.

# Importing a course from YouTube

The course imported from youtube will have all video chapters.

For importing a youtube course, the user just needs to copy and paste the youtube playlist URL.

Also, there is a checkbox that when checked updates the course automatically when any video is added or removed from the youtube playlist.

# Creating a custom course

The custom course is more flexible as users can have different content types such as videos, Assignments, Articles, quizzes, Examples or Resources. The admin can add as many chapters as he wants and under those chapters, n number of content can be created.

The chapters and the content in the chapters can be published/unpublished separately. If a chapter is unpublished then all its content will be unpublished. If a course is unpublished then the members will not be able to access it.

# Taking a course

The members can start a published course and start attempting in any order. The content which is completed can be marked completed.&#x20;

Course completion percentage can be seen on the course listing page. The ratio of content completed to the total number of content determines the completion percentage.

The classroom admin can create an assignment using the **Add assignment** button in the classroom>assignment tab.

The admin can add the title, description for the assignment add attachments. The admin has to input the submission deadline which will determine the time till when the students/members can submit the assignment.

There is also an option “**Late submission**” which when checked allows members to submit the deadline even when the deadline is passed.

“**Allowed file extension**” determines the file type which will be accepted on assignment submission. The admin can select multiple file formats also (example: pdf, zip,Docx etc).

You can also publish a quiz to your other classrooms. This option can be found in advanced settings while creating the quiz. Also the admin can determine how many attempts the user can make for a quiz.

Quiz availability can be set to a specific time window. When set, the users will be able to start the quiz only in that time window. By default, it is set to always so the users can start quizzes anytime.

Under security options we have a lot to offer. Admin has the option to set the quiz in full screen through which tab or browser change is detected and the user will be penalized accordingly. The admin can also disallow resuming the quiz.

There is an option to randomize the order of the questions for every quiz taker. Also, there is an option to randomize options of multiple choice questions for every quiz taker.

**Proctor** -When this setting is enabled, we take permission to access the camera and microphone and while the user is attempting the quiz, all the movements are monitored. It detects if any other device is being used or if there are multiple people around the user etc.

# Managing Questions

Once the quiz is created, the admin gets navigated to manage questions where he can add/remove questions in the quiz.&#x20;

Two types of questions can be added, multiple choice questions and Numerical questions.

The questions can also be added from the question bank.All the new questions added in a quiz are added to the question bank.

# Attempting a quiz

If there are network fluctuations in the quiz then also the user can continue the quiz. All the attempts will be safe. The user will get a message on the quiz screen itself if he goes offline.


# Reports

After completion of the quiz, the admin can view the detailed report of each and every student who has attempted the quiz.&#x20;

The reports include Summary graphs, section-wise analysis reports, topic-wise analysis reports, and question and answer details. The admin can even compare the current quiz result of a student to his previous quiz results

# Discord integration

People use Discord daily to talk about many things, ranging from art projects and family trips to homework and mental health support. It's a home for communities of any size, but it's most widely used by small and active groups of people who talk regularly.

**Follow the below steps to integrate discord in your classroom -**

1. Navigate to <https://discord.com/channels/@me>
2. Select a server from the very left column of the screen.
3. If you have not created a server yet, create a new one by clicking on the plus sign (add a server) in the same column.
4. In the next step, click on the ‘v’ button just right to your server name in the second column from the left and select ‘server settings
5. Then, select ‘Integrations’ from the left column.
6. Now navigate to the ‘Webhooks’ section and click on ‘View Webhooks’.
7. Now click on the ‘New Webhook’ button.
8. In the next step, select the channel from the dropdown whose webhook is needed and click on the ‘Copy Webhook URL’ button.
9. Navigate to the app extension section of the classroom and click on the “Add to classroom” button against the Discord app
10. Paste the copied Webhook URL and click on add button

* Now, click on (...) “More options” in the top right corner of the screen and choose “Connectors”.
* A pop-up window will come up. Select All from the Category section in the left panel, find “Incoming Webhook”, and click the “Add” button to add Incoming Webhook.
* Then, fill out the form and head over to the “create” button.
* The final step is to copy the URL
* Navigate to the app extension section of the classroom and click on the “Add to the classroom” button against the Teams app
* Paste the copied Webhook URL, add the channel name and click on add button

You can accept payments from your customers by integrating your website or app with Razorpay Payment Gateway or using Razorpay products such as Payment Links, Payment Pages, Subscription Links, Invoices, and Smart Collect.

1. Navigate to <https://razorpay.com/>
2. Create an account
3. Navigate to Dashboard
4. In the next step, submit a few KYC details to start accepting payments and receive a settlement in your account
5. Get all the KYC details approved to complete the account activation
6. Now navigate to the API keys API Keys
7. Now click on the ‘Add API keys’ button
8. Copy your 'Key Id' and 'Key Secret'
9. Navigate to app extension section of the classroom and click on “Add to classroom” button against Razorpay app

3. In the next step, Input a name for your app in the "App Name" field
4. Select your slack workspace from the dropdown and click on create button
5. Now navigate to the "Incoming webhooks" section from left navigation and activate it using the toggle button
6. Now click on the "Add New Webhook to Workspace" button
7. In the next step, select the channel from the dropdown whose webhook is needed and click on the "Allow" button
8. Now the webhook is displayed for the channel in the "Incoming webhooks" page and you can copy the webhook from there
9. Navigate to app extension section of the classroom and click on the “Add to classroom” button against Slack app
10. Paste the copied webhook url, channel name and click on add button

# Telegram integration

Telegram is a messaging app with a focus on speed and security, it’s super-fast, simple, and free. You can use Telegram on all your devices at the same time — your messages sync seamlessly across any number of your phones, tablets, or computers. Telegram has over 500 million monthly active users and is one of the 10 most downloaded apps in the world.

**Follow below steps to integrate -**

1. Navigate to <https://web.telegram.org> or use the telegram app.
2. Login with your mobile number.
3. A bot is required to send a notification to the group in the classroom.
4. Search for @BotFather and start a chat with the @BotFather with a blue tick after the username. Beware of similar usernames.
5. After entering the chat screen of the @BotFather, send a text “/newbot”. Give a name and username to your bot.
6. Add this bot as a member of the group in which you want to send notifications of your classroom. Create a group if you haven’t created it yet.
7. Now, you have got a token.
8. Navigate to the app extension section of the classroom and click on “Add to classroom” button against the Telegram app
9. Paste the copied token and Select the groups you want to send notifications of your classroom.


# Classroom configuration

Configure your classroom in Edredo with the help of these tips.

The admins can select classroom types depending on their purpose. Types available are “**Academic class**”, “**Training cohort**” and “**Project workroom**”

Users can customize their classroom content in Edredo. Administrators can select which content type should be available in the classrooms and they can hide others. They can also select to allow/disallow anonymous posts and comments.
